George Mendoza of Las Cruces, a legally blilnd painter and visionary artist, exhibits "George Mendoza: Touching the Sun" at the Carlsbad Museum and Art Center now through August 23rd. An Author, athlete, artist, and motivational speaker declared to be a state treasure by NM Governor Bill Richardson, Mendoza's show features works that reveal the moods and creative journey of this remarkable man.
